This four-ingredient crockpot autumn apple cinnamon chicken is so easy! All you need is chicken, apples, onion and cinnamon. Gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, Whole30, Paleo.
This crockpot autumn apple cinnamon chicken made my house smell SO GOOD, you guys! I’m getting a jump on the fall recipes this year since I just LOVE everything fall. The apple and cinnamon in this are the bomb.
Seriously. It tastes like dessert for dinner, but it’s not overly sweet or desserty. It tastes like fall. I have no better way to describe it. Warm apples, lots of cinnamon and some delicious caramelized onions. It’s the best balance of sweet and savory.
Did I mention that I am so excited for all of the fall activities to get here? Perhaps it does not even need to be said. I’m pretty sure you can tell already from my excitement.
I’ve already been planning some recipes out that I want to start working on that I have really high hopes for. I think you will all enjoy them a lot too. I know I can’t be the only one who enjoys fall way more than I should.
I used to be the hugest fan of apple cider donuts. Now that I’m grain-free, I’m definitely going to have to figure out how to satisfy my yearly craving. Hmmm, I’ll have to think that one through…For now, I will settle for this incredibly tasty apple cinnamon chicken!
I hope you all really enjoy this warm and comforting crockpot apple cinnamon chicken! Leave a comment below if you are a fan of fall, and let me know what your favorite activity or fall food is!

I’m going to try this. What type apples do you suggest?
Hi Neil, great question! I recommend using apples that don’t turn mushy or grainy when cooked. Apples that do well in pies are perfect here (granny smith, honeycrisp, cortland, Jonathan, Braeburn).
