This turmeric cinnamon latte is chock-full of healing spices like turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. Made with nut milk, it’s also dairy-free, vegan, sugar-free, low-carb and ketogenic.
So I mentioned in my Indian butter chicken recipe last week about the nutritional punch that turmeric packs. At the end of that post, I mentioned that I was experimenting with a turmeric, cinnamon and ginger latte, which, as you can see from the title of this post, is now here!
Turmeric, cinnamon and ginger are all fantastic sources of antioxidants, along with many other herbs and spices. Turmeric has been used for thousands of years for many uses including relieving digestive issues, calming inflammation, and there are studies showing that it may even protect against cancer.
Cinnamon has also been used traditionally for healing, has anti-inflammatory properties and can even help to regulate your blood sugar levels, not to mention that it tastes fantastic. Ginger is great for stomach upset and digestive issues and can help boost the immune system.
When you combine these three spices together, you can obtain the benefits from all three simultaneously. Basically, what I’m getting at is that this latte will make you indestructible!
Ok, maybe that’s taking it a bit far, but regularly consuming antioxidant rich foods can definitely improve digestion, immunity, pain regulation and chronic health issues. I think it’s safe to say that everyone could benefit from at least one of these, if not more than one.
This turmeric cinnamon ginger latte is a quick and easy way to get more spices into your day. If you’re not a huge fan of the bitterness of the turmeric, you can offset the taste by adding extra sweetener. Over time, you may find that you come to enjoy the slight bitterness, and that you can reduce the amount of sweetener you use.
I hope you enjoy all the benefits of this turmeric cinnamon latte. I find that it is the perfect nighttime stress-relieving drink. Since it’s caffeine-free, it’s great to help unwind after a stressful day.
