Ingredients

For Apples

  • 1/2 apple cubed or sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

For Cinnamon Mug Cake

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons coconut flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

For Caramel Sauce

  • 1/4 batch caramel apple sauce click here for recipe

Instructions

To cook apples

  • Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat, and add in apples.
  • Cook until apples soften, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  • Top with cinnamon and mix until well-coated.

To assemble mug cake

  • Melt butter in a ramekin or mug.
  • Add in coconut flour and mix until no more clumps.
  • Add in egg and mix again until egg is fully incorporated.
  • Mix in sweetener, cinnamon and the cooked apples.
  • Microwave for 90 seconds.
  • Allow to cool for a minute, then top with caramel sauce and enjoy.
