An incredibly simple and quick three-ingredient cinnamon butter recipe made with stevia and ZERO carbs! Low-carb, keto-friendly, sugar-free, gluten-free, grain-free, animal-based.
First, I want to start off by saying yes, there is irony in this post. In the heading, I mentioned that this sweet cinnamon butter has zero carbs, and then in the picture there is a big ol’ plate of sweet potato fries.
Let me say that while I LOVE me a good ketogenic diet, and this worked quite well for me for almost a year, it is no longer suiting me perfectly. I am currently having issues with dry eyes that are much worse when I eat a decent amount of meat.
Sweet potatoes are one of those foods that gives my dry eyes some decent relief, so until I can get a better handle of my issues, slightly higher carbs in the evenings several nights a week seems to do the trick.
This more bulletproof approach has been working quite well for me lately, and my body seems to be responding pretty well to the increase in carbs.
For those of you who are having success with low carbs, then this sweet cinnamon butter will cause zero stress when it comes to your carb count because there are a big whopping ZERO of them! Gotta love butter and stevia. So amazing.
It couldn’t be much easier to make this delicious butter recipe either! If you refrigerate your butter, start by taking out the amount you want to make. I recommend one tablespoon per serving, so you can adjust the recipe as necessary for more or less servings.
Allow the butter to come up to room temperature, then all you have to do is add in your cinnamon and stevia. I recommend liquid stevia in this recipe because it has no texture at all.
It works best for an incredibly buttery smooth texture. If all you have is granulated stevia, you can still use it, just be aware that the texture will become gritty.
Mix that all together until smooth, then either consume right away or return to the fridge until you’re ready to use. See, so EASY!
If you are wondering, “hey Deanna, I keep my carbs really low, what the heck can I use this on??” Well I’ve got ya covered, don’t sweat it! How about these tasty low carb pancakes?? Or maybe as a spread on some macadamia nut bread? This would also work incredibly well either inside or on top of a dessert crepe. OMG I’m dying here with all this delicious talk.

How is it zero carbs? My stevia box says each packet has 2 carbs?
The carbs from stevia don’t have an impact on your blood sugar (at least for most people). Depending on how you count your carbs, those would count towards your total carbs, but not towards your net carbs. The brand of stevia you use may have other ingredients in it that do have an impact on blood sugar, but if the only ingredients are stevia and erythritol, it should be zero net carbs. Hope that helps!
Would this recipe work to pour over baked carrots?
Yes it would, that sounds so delicious!
how much granulated stevia would I use?
Hi Maryann, I would recommend playing around to see what suits your tastes, but the equivalent to the stevia drops would be around 1/3-1/2 teaspoon of the pure stevia powder (product where stevia extract is the only ingredient, such as Sweet Leaf). I don’t recommend using a granulated stevia blend containing erythritol (such as Pyure or Truvia). This will leave you with a gritty texture, since it won’t dissolve. Hope that helps!
